POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Darren J. Brown is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates
for the position of:
SUPERVISOR OF MATHEMATICS

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold New York State certification in mathematics and New York State School District Administrator (SDA),
School District Leader (SDL), School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS), or School Building Leader (SBL) certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must have completed at least three years of approved and appropriate teaching and/or supervision.
DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Director of the Department of Mathematics, the Instructional Specialist will be responsible for
the following, but not be limited to:
Appointment will be made by the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service.
Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
SALARY: Supervisor salary schedule.

- Oversee other mathematics instructional programs supports and initiatives.
- Oversee all aspects of the Title I Mathematics staff and programs conducted by public and non-public schools.
- Assist in the selection, assignment and in-servicing of staff and paraprofessionals.
- Organize and facilitate staff development programs.
- Disseminate program information.
- Observe and evaluate teachers.
- Carry out other responsibilities as they may be assigned by the Superintendent, his designee, or the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Assessment, and Instruction.
