POSITION:               
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald Ogilvie, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be a certified attendance teacher.  The candidate must have a demonstrated record of effective academic results with academically challenged students.  Candidates must possess a recognized interest in developing authentic and meaningful professional relationships with youth who struggle academically and their families.
                                                                       
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:           
Afterschool Credit Accrual and Recovery Program Teachers will work under the supervision of the Principal/Assistant Principal.  The Principal, as the responsible head and educational leader of the school will assure compliance with state education law and Commissioner’s Regulations.  The attendance teacher will contact parents, meet with students, conduct home visits during the program hours and connect parents to community supports as necessary.
 
             The assignment includes:

 
  • One Hour, Three Days Per Week After-school from September to June
 
 
APPOINTMENT:      
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following the assessment of training, experience, credentials, evaluation of service, program needs and interview. 
 
 
 
SALARY:                   Per teacher salary schedule
