NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald A. Ogilvie is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates
for the position of:
Extended Learning Time- After School Teachers at School #76 - School Improvement Grant
Math (7th/8th)
Physical Education (1st – 8th)
Art (1st – 8th)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a valid New York State certification in Mathematics, Physical Education, or Art and be currently employed with the
Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured, probationary, or temporary teacher.
In addition, candidates must be willing to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 2 hours from 2:40 p.m.- 4:40 p.m.
Teachers will create lesson plans and utilize the curriculum provided to them, as well as supplement as needed with supervisors’ approval. Teachers
are expected to provide support & positive interaction with students, administer pre and post assessments, maintain attendance, and as needed, communicate
and provide information to parents on the progress of their child.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachers will work under the supervision of the Building Administration:
• Instructing students on grade level coursework using differentiated strategies and approaches effective in working with general education, special education, and Limited English Proficient students.
• Provide instruction to students’ that support the CCLS.
• Prepare lessons for students using curriculum provided by school administrator.
• Outside planning time will be necessary.
• Teachers will be required to work 2 hours a day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:40 p.m.- 4:40 p.m.
• Attend program training after school when needed.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the building principals who will select the candidates that best match the recruitment bulletin and the after-school program description.
SALARY: Per hourly contractual teacher salary schedule.
