NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
MONTESSORI ELEMENTARY TEACHERS (2) - #32 BENNETT PARK MONTESSORI CENTER

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must be certified in Elementary Education. First preference will be given to teachers who ae tenured or have probationary status and satisfactory evaluations with the Buffalo Public Schools. Where all other qualities are equal, candidates who are certified Montessori teachers or in the process of completing Montessori certification are preferred. Montessori certification for teachers is a requisite for accreditation by the American Montessori Society (AMS). Therefore, it I an expectation that candidates who are selected will enroll in and complete Montessori certification, which is a two year long commitment for course work, internship and tuition. Although the District has been able to support some tuition assistance in the past, due to budget constraints this cannot be guaranteed and completion of training is required in any event.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Superintendent following an assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
