NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald A. Ogilvie is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
Extended Learning Time - Afterschool Program Hillery Park Elementary #27

QUALIFICATIONS:
Any NYS Certified Teacher currently employed in a Buffalo Public School:
- Candidate should be able to plan differentiated instruction for students needing remediation in ELA, math and/or science.
- Candidate should be able to implement CCLS and instructional shifts in appropriate subject areas.
- Candidate should be able to provide meaningful instruction including enrichment activities to improve overall academic achievement for our students.
- Candidates should be able to work Monday through Thursday, 2 hours per day after school (3:35 – 5:35pm).
DUTIES:
The role of teacher is to provide direct instructional services to the students under the supervision of Hillery Park’s administrative team.
- Planning and implementing meaningful learning experiences to improve academic achievement
- Analyzing and interpreting relevant data to drive instruction.
- Using relevant resources and supplemental materials/lessons to differentiate instruction for individual students.
- Working with individual pupils or groups of pupils on special instructional projects.
- Utilizing their own special skills and abilities by assisting in instructional programs in areas such as: arts integration, crafts, music and similar projects.
- Communicating effectively with instructional teams, including the classroom teacher, other professional staff and parents.
- Attending to the physical needs of the students, as appropriate.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the building principals who will select the candidates that best match the recruitment bulletin and the after-school program description.
SALARY: Per hourly contractual teacher salary schedule.
