NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have New York State permanent teacher certification in Special Education and/or related service and have 3-5 years of successful classroom experience in an urban school district. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of Federal and State regulations pertaining to Special Education and extensive knowledge of Individual Education Program development. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of Related Services. Candidates should have experience with IEP Direct including maintaining and accessing reports and listings. Candidates must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Medicaid laws and billing preferred. Experience in customer service, training and writing technical documentation.
DUTIES:
The Central CSE Chair will support the work of the Central Committee on Special Education. Responsibilities will include assigning evaluations to evaluators, ensuring students are receiving mandated related services. Creation/implementation and maintenance of databases, interfacing and communicating with student support teams, parents and schools and any additional duties deemed necessary and appropriate.

APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interview shall be scheduled where appropriate.
SALARY: Teacher salary schedule based on BTF contract
