POSITION: Afterschool Home Instruction for Students on Medical Leave (Grades K-6, 7-12, Special Education K-6 & Special Education 7-12)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a valid General Education and/or Special Education New York certificate in grades K-12 and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured or probationary teacher. In addition, candidates must be willing to work in a hospital environment as well as students’ homes, provide support & positive interaction with pregnant, acutely ill and terminally ill students, communicate and provide information to parents of homebound or hospitalized students to meet the needs of their children, and demonstrate the ability to work with children who have medical and/or psychological needs.

- Instructing students on medical leave in grade level coursework.
- Instruct Special Education students according to their IEP’s.
- Provide home school with students’ grades.
- Provide home school with students’ attendance.
- Administer NYS Assessment Tests to students.
