POSITION: The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for a part-time hourly position in the Adult Education Program for the 2017-2018 school year as:

 

HOME HEALTH AIDE/ NURSE AIDE INSTRUCTOR - PART TIME - HOURLY

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Be a Registered Nurse in good standing and current license with New York State.

 

- AND –

 

You will be required to take Child Abuse Reporting and SAVE workshops.

 

EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years of Nursing experience working in a hospital, nursing home, assisted care or other related facility with Nurse Aides and other medical professionals.

 

DUTIES:

  • Teach the Nurse Aide and Home Health Aide (HHA) curriculums as created by the division and mandated by NYSED.
  • Instruct students daily in practical and clinical skills as they relate to the State Nurse Aide and HHA exams.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating all student classwork, clinical records, and transcripts.
  • Work with administration, instructors, and staff on curriculum, educational, clinical, and student needs.
  • Assist with coordinating the scheduling of clinical rotations for each location.
  • Work closely with the division and clinical site administration and staff to insure instructional placement
  • Performs other duties as requested.

 

APPOINTMENT:

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate. All Adult Education assignments are temporary and can be renewed each year.

 

SALARY:            Hourly Teacher Salary Schedule.
