The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pamela C. Brown, is interested in receiving applications from qualified
candidates for the position of:

                                             DIRECTOR OF FEDERAL & STATE PROGRAMS

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree and a New York State School District Administrator
Certificate. Candidates must be knowledgeable of the intricacies of the Title 1 requirements as it relates to the provision
of academic instruction of at risk students. Candidates should have experience in grant development and budget
preparation and must be knowledgeable of Federal and State grant-related guidelines and reporting requirements
for Title I,  Title IIA, and Title III. Candidates must possess, and have demonstrated strong leadership, organizational
and communication skills, both written and oral.

Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, the responsibilities of the Director of Federal & State
Programs will include, but are not limited to:
  •  Administer and manage all aspects of the Title I Basic, Title I School Improvement Grant Program, Title IIA, Title III grants in collaboration with appropriate Central Office administrators and principals.
  • Oversee adherence to federal and state regulations and guidelines for Title I, Title IIA,Title III.
  • Design and coordinate all aspects of Title I, Title IIA, Title III programs and funds in collaboration with appropriate staff.
  • Having knowledge of federal legislation, regulations, and guidance.
  • Managing the development of the district’s parental involvement policy.
  • Conducting consultations with nonpublic school officials.
  • Organizing and conducting meetings with constituent groups.
  • Establishing multiple criteria for identifying academically at-risk children.
  • Identifying elements of the Title I program and strategies the district/schools implement.
  • Planning for district professional development, parent involvement activities, and other district wide instructional programs.
  • Implementing and monitoring school improvement programs (as appropriate) such as school choice, supplemental educational services (SES), parent notifications, etc.
  • Supervising the development and approval of the Title I Unified Plan for designated schools.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of Title I, Title IIA, Title III programs and strategies.
  • Assisting in the development, completion and implementation of the annual consolidated application, amendments, and final reports to ensure alignment with District’s Strategic Plan
  • Perform related duties as required.
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials
and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.                                   
SALARY:                   Administrator’s salary schedule.
