NOTICE OF POSITION
Position:
The Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Donald Oglivie, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
Virtual Advanced Placement (VAP) Instructor– AP Psychology

Qualifications:
Candidates must hold valid NYS certification in Social Studies Education (7-12) and currently be employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured, probationary or a certified substitute teacher. The candidate must be AP trained by the College Board, have experience teaching AP Psychology, and be technologically proficient.
Responsibilities:
The VAP Psychology Instructor will work under the supervision of the VAP Program Coordinator. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Attend training to learn the virtual learning management system that supports the VAP program
- Participate in online professional development
- Attend College Board AP Psychology workshops
- Communicate regularly with students and stakeholders
- Follow the AP Psychology curriculum
- Assess student participation and assigned work
- Provide detailed feedback to students
- Set goals and deadlines to further student achievement
- Plan for and implement quality AP test review sessions
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned

SALARY: $5,000 per full year course
