NOTICE OF POSITION

 

POSITION: The Principal of BENNETT PARK MONTESSORI CENTER # 32 is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

 

AFTER SCHOOL TEACHER – Various Levels/All subject areas in

Grades 5-8 ART, PE, SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES, READING WRITING, MATH

 

The After School Program will run from October 11, 2017 – May 24, 2018, Monday – Friday from 4:00-6:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate should be able to plan differentiated instruction for students needing remediation.

  • Candidate should be able to implement CCLS and instructional shifts in appropriate subject areas.

  • Candidate should be able to provide meaningful instruction which may include enrichment activities to improve overall academic achievement for our students.

  • It is not required for candidates to work all 5 days.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The role of teacher is to provide direct instructional services to the students under the supervision of the administrative team.

 

The assignment includes:

  • Planning and implementing meaningful learning experiences to improve academic achievement

  • Instruct and assist students on grade level course work using strategies and approaches that are aligned with CCLS and district/school goals.

  • Analyzing and interpreting relevant data to drive instruction

  • Using relevant resources and supplemental materials/lessons to differentiate instruction for individual students

  • Working with individual pupils or groups of pupils on special instructional projects

  • Communicating effectively with instructional teams, including the classroom teacher, other professional staff and parents

  • Attending to the physical needs of the students, as appropriate

  • Minimum of 1 hour per day after-school

  • Provide support & positive interaction with students, communicate and provide information to parents on the progress of their child.

APPOINTMENT:       Appointments will be made based on seniority and certification areas.

 

SALARY                   BTF contractual hourly rate
