                                                                        NOTICE OF POSITION

 
POSITION:               
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Darren J. Brown, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
 
                                    DIRECTOR OF BUDGET & GRANTS MANAGEMENT

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and a school district administrator (SDA/SDL) certificate.  School business administrator
(SBA/SDBL) Certificate preferred, but not required.


EXPERIENCE:         
Candidates must have three years of approved administrative experience.  Candidates should have experience in budget preparation and monitoring,
including knowledge of Federal and State grant-related guidelines and reporting requirements.  Candidates must possess and have demonstrated
strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, both written and oral.
 
DUTIES:                    
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer or designee, the responsibilities of the Director of Budget & Grants Management shall be:
 
  • Direct supervision of the Special Projects Claims Office and other staff assigned
  • Process all financial documentation for special projects
  • Support the audit of grant-funded payrolls
  • Assist with preparation of the District’s department budgets, including budget development, monitoring, and compliance with state and federal regulations, working with all applicable funding sources
  • Coordinate budget preparation and spending to ensure efficient use of all funds
  • Work closely with the Grants Development and Federal & State Programs departments
  • Assist in the school staffing process and school based budgeting, working with all applicable funding sources
  • Prepare annual special project status reports
  • Monitor staffing levels through Munis position control and provide reports on a timely basis, working with all applicable funding sources
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer or designee in meeting with Principals, Associate Superintendents, and department heads to review staffing and budgetary needs
  • Monitor all budgets, forecasting and preparing reports accordingly
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Department and the position control moduleAssist and perform additional duties as required by the Chief Financial Officer or designee
                                   
  
APPOINTMENT:      
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience,
credentials and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be conducted where appropriate.
                                   
SALARY:                   Administrator salary schedule.
