NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
WORK BASED LEARNING COORDINATOR FOR CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE)-.1.0 FTE

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a permanent/professional New York State teaching certificate and have or be in the process of completing applications for a valid New York State Work-based Career Awareness and / or Coordinator of Cooperative Work Study Programs Extension.
EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must have completed three years of approved and appropriate teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably in a high school setting. Special consideration will be given to applicants who hold a CTE teaching certificate.
DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Director of Career and Technical Education and My Brother’s Keeper grant Project administrator:

Compliance of all NYSED and NYSDOL guidelines as they pertain to school youth in all work based learning experiences

Collaborate in the set up and administration of New York State/Industry assessments
-
Oversee the Work Based Learning activities as outlined in the My Brother’s Keeper grant including but not limited to in school speakers, field trips, paid and unpaid work experience. Volunteer activities, etc…

Collaborate with partners to develop and oversee work experiences identified in My Brother’s Keeper Grant

Responsible for required reports and data collection as it relates My Brother’s Keeper Grant

Plan , develop and/or take part in afterschool and Saturday PD

And other duties that are in keeping with the grant as assigned by the Director of Career and Technical Education and My Brother’s Keeper grant Project administrator
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
