NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Donald A. Ogilvie, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates
for the position of:
DIRECTOR OF PARENT AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree and an administrator’s certificate. Candidates must hold a valid New York State School Administrators
Supervisor (SAS), New York State District Administrator (SDA), or New York State School District Leader (SDL) certificate. Candidates must have
a minimum of five (5) years of approved and appropriate teaching and Supervisory experience, with a minimum of one (1) year in an administrative
or supervisory capacity. Candidates must have demonstrated expertise in Federal and State guidelines as it pertains to Title I, Part A – Parent
Involvement.
DUTIES:
Under the supervision of the Associate Superintendent of Student Support Services, the Director of Parent and Family Engagement will be responsible
for but not limited to the following:
- Managing all aspects of the required District parent involvement policy under Section 1118 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
- Manage all aspects of District Parent Involvement procedures.
- Work in collaboration with building principals or his/her designee providing the necessary support to ensure meaningful parent involvement.
- Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate all aspects of the parent and community engagement programs and personnel.
- Coordinate activities with district goals, Title I Law, community agencies and parent organizations.
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure compliance with NYSED Commissioner’s Regulation 100.11.
- Oversee school and district budgets for Parent Involvement and Engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment of training,
experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
