POSITION:

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

 

 

Extended Learning Time - After School Program @ #19 Native American Magnet

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must hold a valid General Education and/or Special Education New York certificate in grades K – 8 core and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured, probationary or temporary teacher. Candidates must be willing to work 5 days a week, Monday through Friday 3:10 to 5:10. Teachers will create lesson plans and utilize the curriculum provided to them, as well as supplement as needed with supervisors’ approval. Teachers are expected to provide support & positive interactions with students, administer pre and post assessments, maintain attendance.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teachers will work under the supervision of the Building Administration:

  • Instructing students on grade level coursework using differentiated strategies and approaches effective in working with students in need of academic supports.
  • Provide instruction to students in Grades K – 8 according to CCLS.
  • Prepare lessons for students using curriculum provided by school administrator.
  • Outside planning time will be necessary.
  • Teachers will be required to work a minimum of 2 hours a day, 2 days a week (Monday & Friday).
  • Attend mandatory program training after school.
  • Utilize web based programs in the areas

 

APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the building principals who will select the candidates that best match the recruitment bulletin and the after-school program description.


SALARY: Per hourly contractual teacher salary schedule.
