                                                      NOTICE OF POSITION

 
POSITION:               
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald A. Ogilvie, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of curriculum
committee members for the following committees to serve as needed from July 7, 2014 –August 31, 2016:
 
                                    
                                     Library Media Specialist – Grades PK-12

QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must hold a New York State certification and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured teacher,
have knowledge of the Common Core Learning Standards and knowledge of application of scientifically-based research.
 
DUTIES:                    
Curriculum committees will work directly with subject area and/or curriculum administrators.  Committees must complete a variety of assignments within
a mandated time frame.  Assignments included but are not limited to developing pertinent curriculum documents aligned to the Common Core learning Standards. 
Committee members will participate in professional development to increase knowledge and skills required to fulfill responsibilities of related committee work.
 
APPOINTMENT:      
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment of training, experience,
credentials and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
 
SALARY:                    Committee members will be paid at the contractual rate.
