POSITION:               
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald A. Ogilvie, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates
for Grades 7-12 summer school teaching positions:

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY COACH

Locations TBD
(Locations subject to change based upon site availability.)

Staff hours:              8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Student hours:         8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.                                        
Classes to be held:       July 13 – August 14, 2015

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must currently be working for the Buffalo Public Schools as an Instructional Technology Coach.  Priority in the selection
of teachers will be given to qualified Buffalo Public School teachers in order of summer school seniority.
 
DUTIES:
Summer school teachers will offer high quality instruction to students in their content area.  Teachers will regularly monitor student
progress and keep records of all assessments and strategies used.  Duties for Instructional Technology Coaches will be, but not
limited to, the following:
  • Provide professional development and support for District instructional technology including, but not limited to, Promethean interactive whiteboards, ActiVotes, Castle Learning, Harcourt ThinkCentral, World Book Online, Illuminate and other instructional technology specific to summer school activities
  • Assist teaching and learning staff with teacher-specific portions of the Infinite Campus student information system including, but not limited to, grade book and period-by-period attendance features.
  • Support computer lab readiness & interactive whiteboard inventory and distribution
  • Provide maintenance and support for teacher and student log-in information for computers and software programs

ORIENTATION:
Paid teacher preparation session is scheduled for July 10, 2015 (3 hour session). Successful candidates are encouraged to attend.

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment of
summer school seniority, training, credentials, and evaluation of service.  Interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
 
SALARY:                   Teacher hourly rate based on BTF contract.
