 POSITION:              

        
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Donald A. Ogilvie, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be New York State certified in Elementary (N-6) with an extension, Special Education or any secondary subject area certification.  Candidate must possess certification in gifted education. 
Candidates must possess a demonstrated record of utilizing creative and critical thinking skills as well as creative problem solving within their teaching. Individuals must have well developed interpersonal skills and be able to work as a member of a team.
 
DUTIES:                  

The Teacher will coordinate and articulate the Gifted and Talented Program with students, staff and the community, will work directly with students identified as gifted and talented in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the program and participate and assist in continuing in-service programs.  This individual will also teach a 9th grade class in Inquiry and Innovation.  The individual will also be required to participate in all aspects of the gifted programs entry process.
 
  
APPOINTMENT:    
 
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of credentials, experience and evaluation of service.   Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
