NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Darren J. Brown, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates
for the position of:
WORK BASED LEARNING COORDINATOR FOR CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE)-1.0FTE

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a permanent/professional New York State teaching certificate and have or be in the process of completing
applications for a valid New York State Work-based Career Awareness and Coordinator of Cooperative Work Study Programs
Extension. Preference will be given to McKinley teachers
EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must have completed three years of approved and appropriate teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably
in a high school setting. Special consideration will be given to applicants who hold a CTE teaching certificate.
DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Principal of McKinley and Director of Career and Technical Education:
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Interim Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of
service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.

- Compliance of all NYSED and NYSDOL guidelines as they pertain to school youth in all work based learning experiences.
- Collaborate in the set up and administration of New York State/Industry assessments.
- Oversee the Work Based Learning activities as outlined in the NYSED P-Tech grant including but not limited to in school speakers, field trips, paid and unpaid work experience. Volunteer activities, etc…
- Collaborate with partners to develop and oversee work experiences identified in NYSED P-Tech Grant.
- Responsible for required reports and data collection as it relates NYSED P-Tech Grant.
- Plan, develop and/or take part in afterschool and Saturday PD.
- And other duties that are in keeping with the grant as assigned by the Principal of McKinley and Director of Career and Technical Education.
