                                                                       NOTICE OF POSITION

 POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have New York State permanent or professional teacher certification in Early Childhood, Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Art or Music and have a minimum of 3 years of classroom experience.  Candidates with experience in an urban school district are preferred. 
 
DUTIES:

The Coordinator of the Arts at #61 will support the successful, school-wide implementation of the Socio-Economic Integration Grant (SEIG).  Responsibilities will include: 
  • Planning and organizing all CCLS aligned Arts field trips for students
  • Monitoring the SEIG budget
  • Ensuring compliance with all SEIG mandated reports and updating of the grant
  • Frequent multi-tiered data collection on Arts programming at the school
  • Production management for all Art’s productions
  • Working and ordering lighting and sound equipment
  • Collaborating with sound engineers
  • Creating and maintaining a rigorous year-long Arts schedule
  • Completing public relations on Arts performances at the school
  • Facilitating the implementation of technology driven morning announcements
  • Ordering all arts programmatic materials
  • Supporting and organizing all extended learning time activities
  • Participating in all grade level and common planning meetings to ensure that a voice from the Arts is included
  • Additional duties as required by the school’s principal.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education based upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following an assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials, and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.  This position is grant funded and will be in place during the life of the grant.

 
SALARY:                  Teacher’s salary schedule.
