                                                               NOTICE OF POSITION

 
 
POSITION:               
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald A. Ogilvie is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
 
                                  Extended Learning Time – Afterschool Program at Southside Elementary #93

QUALIFICATIONS:  
Candidates must hold a valid New York State teaching certification in grades K-12 and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured,
probationary or temporary teacher.

 
DUTIES:                    
Teachers will work under the supervision of the Building Administration:
 
  • Instructing students on grade level coursework using differentiated strategies and approaches effective in working with students in need of academic supports.
  • Provide instruction to students in Kindergarten thru grade 8 according to Common Core Learning Standards.
  • Prepare lessons for students using curriculum provided by school administrator.
  • Teachers must address the individual needs of students and allow for various learning styles and methods.
  • Teachers will be required to work a minimum of 2 hours a day, Monday – Thursday (2:35 – 4:35)
  • The program will run from November 5, 2014 – April 28, 2015.
 
APPOINTMENT:      
Appointment will be made by the building principals who will select the candidates that best match the recruitment bulletin and the after-school program description.


SALARY:                    Per hourly contractual teacher salary schedule.
