                                                                        NOTICE OF POSITION

 
POSITION:                       The BPS Educational Services Department is seeking a limited number of individuals to receive training to become district trainers for Restorative  Practices.  Initial full day trainings will be August 17-21 2015. Submission of application will signify commitment to attend all days of the training in August in full.
 
                                                            TRAINERS RESTORATIVE PRACTICE

QUALIFICATIONS:          Candidates must be tenured BPS certified teachers including support staff or administrators. Preference will be given to those with experience with:
                                            Student Support Teams
                                            Experience with PBIS
                                            Previous participation in trainings provided by the International Institute on Restorative Practices (4 or more)
                                            Previous participation in action planning meetings or Professional Learning Group training with the International Institute on
                                            Restorative Practices
                                            Experience in leading Restorative Circles in a classroom or other school setting
                                            Experience in providing professional development

 
  
DUTIES:                            Attend all 5 days of train the trainer session Aug 17-21. 
                                          Participate in planning and preparation sessions to develop training.
                                          Provide training to BPS schools and community partners in collaboration with PBIS District Coordinators
                                          Be available for paid after school and summer work hours.

APPOINTMENT:              Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be conducted where appropriate. 


SALARY:                        Contractual rate (1/200th)
