NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald A. Ogilvie, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
BILINGUAL DUAL LANGUAGE IMMERSION PROGRAM PREK-4

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be certified in Elementary Education with a bilingual extension. Candidates must be proficient in English and Spanish. Familiarity with Dual Language Immersion pedagogy desirable.
DUTIES:
The Bilingual Dual Immersion Teacher will be responsible for:
- Providing instruction in all curricular areas, following the appropriate curriculum.
- Academic instruction will be given primarily in Spanish.
- The candidate must be willing to be trained in gifted and talented education and to work closely with colleagues, parents and the community.
- The teacher must be able to communicate orally, as well as in writing, with native speakers of Spanish, as well as English.
SELECTION:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
SALARY: Teacher’s salary schedule based on BTF contract agreement.
