                                                             NOTICE OF POSITION

POSITION:               
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
                         PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR II FOR PRE-KINDERGARTEN

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Early Childhood (B-Gr2), and a New York State teaching certificate and a valid New York State School Administration Supervisor (SAS), or School Building Leader (SBL), or School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certificate.  Candidates must have completed three years of approved and appropriate Early Childhood teaching.  Additional courses in the areas of curriculum theory, planning and development; and experience in grant writing and budget preparation is required.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Project Administrator II for Prekindergarten will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist in the development, writing of Prekindergarten Grants, as articulated by interdepartmental planning teams.
  • Assist with the development of budgets and budget narratives for proposals.
  • Assist with collaboration process for recruiting and maintain Community-Based Organizations Prekindergarten.
  • Assist in the coordinating, facilitating, implementation, and articulation of Early Childhood curriculum, and instructional programs.
  • Articulate the early childhood philosophy program between home, parent, and community.
  • In-service staff, conduct parent workshops, assist teachers and teacher assistants with developmentally appropriate classroom practices.
  • Preform other duties as assigned.
     
APPOINTMENT:            
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials, certifications and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
 
SALARY:                   Administrator’s salary schedule.
