POSITION:               
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Darren j. Brown, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates
for the position of:
 
SUPERVISOR OF EXTENDED SCHOOL DAY/SCHOOL VIOLENCE PREVENTION GRANT

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, and a New York State Administrator Certificate (SDA/SDL/SAS/SBL).  Candidates
must have completed four years of approved and appropriate teaching.  Candidates must possess and have demonstrated, strong leadership,
organizational and communication skills, both written and oral. Additional courses in the areas of curriculum theory, planning and development;
and experience in grant writing and budget preparation is required.
 
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Supervision of PBIS/MTSS-B coordinators in development and implementation of District Student Support goals including school improvement planning through direct school based coaching and data analysis.
  • Assist in the development of the District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) Social Emotional Area.
  • Develop and manage District student support contracts that align with DCIP recommendations.
  • Supervise the development and implementation of the New York State Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention Grants, working closely with data consultants to assess District’s capacity to capture effectiveness of program goals throughout the past 15 years.
  • Coordinate staff development programs including Restorative Practices, PBIS trainings and professional growth opportunities for the Administrative and Teaching staff.
  • Exercise leadership in identifying funding sources for proposals for school sites and/or Central Office Departments; assist in development and writing of grant proposals and programming.
  • Facilitate community partnerships to enhance the student support delivery system addressing the major recommendations outlined in the District’s strategic plan.
  • Participate as a member on the District’s Safe Healthy Supportive Learning Initiative Student Support Team, the Mental, Emotional and Behavioral (MEB) Health Committee focusing on YRBS results.
  • Coordinate student ambassador activities incorporating student input into District planning.
  • Supervise the budgets, board recommendations, contracts, collection of data; and prepare reports at the conclusion of the grants.
 
SELECTION:            
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment of training,
experience, credentials and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
 
 
SALARY:                   Administrator’s salary schedule.
