POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold New York State certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or
Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled. New York State Licensure and Registration as a Speech-
Language Pathologist and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence are preferred. Candidates must have
knowledge of Medicaid Regulations, ASHA Scope and Practice of Speech-Language Pathology and Federal and
State Regulations pertaining to Speech-Language Pathology. Candidate must have application knowledge of
various Speech-Language assessment tools. Candidate must have experience as a speech language evaluator.
DUTIES:
The Speech-Language Evaluator will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Perform observations and consultations.

Administer Speech-Language evaluations
-
Write reports required by the Central Committee on Special Education and assist the Committee on Special Education
in the appropriate development and implementation of the Individual Education Plan. -
Attend Committee on Special Education meetings.

Consult with other professional disciplines, parents and school personnel.

Organize and maintain records for the BPS initiative.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent
following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal
interview shall be scheduled where appropriate.
SALARY: Per BTF contract
