NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald A. Ogilvie is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
Extended Learning Time – After School Program at School #80
School Improvement Grant

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a valid General Education and/or Special Education New York certificate in grades K-12 core and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured, probationary , temporary teacher.
Candidates must be willing to work 5 days a week from 3:35 to 5:35.
Teachers will create lesson plans and utilize the curriculum provided to them, as well as supplement as needed with supervisors’ approval. Teachers are expected to provide support & positive interaction with students, administer pre and post assessments, maintain attendance, and as needed, communicate and provide information to parents on the progress of their child.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachers will work under the supervision of the Building Administration:
- Instructing students on grade level coursework using differentiated strategies and approaches effective in working with students in need of academic supports.
- Provide instruction to students in K-8 according to CCLS.
- Prepare lessons for students using curriculum provided by school administrator.
- Outside planning time will be necessary.
- Teachers will be required to work a minimum of 2 hours a day, 5 days per week.
- Attend mandatory program training after school when offered.
Appointment will be made by the building principals who will select the candidates that best match the recruitment bulletin and the after-school program description.
