POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pamela C. Brown., is interested in receiving applications from candidates interested in the position of:

PROGRAM INFORMATION:
The Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program under the operation of GObike Buffalo, which is a federally funded program through the New York Department of Transportation was designed to improve traffic safety, increase physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles and preserve the environment for school students. The program helps address critical issues relating to children’s health, safety, quality environments, assist with increasing student attendance.
FEATURED SCHOOL:
Hamlin Park Elementary School #74
DUTIES:
Under the supervision of the Safe Routes to School, a part of the GObike Buffalo organization, the volunteer will agree to:
- Provide an opportunity for a student attending Hamlin Park Elementary School #74 to safely walk or ride their bicycles to school for one hour per week.
- Meet student a designated time and location.
- Walk with or assist the student with riding their bicycle to school.
- Register the student upon arriving to school.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the GObike organization upon review and receipt of security clearance information.
