POSITION

SUMMER ENRICHMENT ARTS TEACHER
MURAL MANIA! 

 

DATES:   July 7, 2025 - August 15, 2025 
TIME:   9:30 am – 1:00 pm 
LOCATION:   UB Campus

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must hold a New York State certification in Art Education and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured teacher.  Please attach a PDF or screenshot of your certification(s). 
  
DUTIES
MURAL MANIA! Arts Teacher(s) will work directly with the Director of Arts and contracted mural artist, to support collaborative work between student-muralists (grades 6-12) in the dartistsment of the final mural installation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: management of program schedule, maintenance of all related records including attendance, preparation of materials and resources, support muralist and students in the development of concept, maintaining positive relationships between all parties, the overall safety of students, and family outreach to the fullest extent possible whenever necessary. 

 
APPOINTMENT: 
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate. Up to five (5) arts teachers will be selected, one (1) for Woke Words and up to two (2) for Mural  Mania and Stage & Song. 
  
SALARY:                  As per the current BTF contract. 
  
FUND #:                   Pending Funding- hourly rate
