NOTICE OF POSITION

POSITION:

The Superintendent, Dr.Tonja M. Williams, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

 

MUSIC TEACHERS

: July 10, 2023 – August 11, 2023

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must hold a New York State certification in, Music Education, and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a probationary or tenured teacher. Please attach a PDF or screen shot of their certification(s). Candidates must specialize performing stringed instruments.

DUTIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing support for small group lessons and large ensemble rehearsals, management of lesson schedules, maintenance of all related records including attendance, preparation of materials and resources, support student musicians in development of their music performance and theory skills, maintain positive relationships between all parties, overall safety of students, and family outreach to the fullest extent possible whenever necessary. 

 

APPOINTMENT:

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials, and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.




SALARY: As per the current BTF contract.
