  POSITION:  

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tonja M. Williams is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

 

                           CARPENTRY TEACHER/THEATER STAGE SET BUILDING

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must hold a Buffalo or New York State teaching certificate in Building Maintenance OR Carpentry, or be able to obtain teaching certification through NYSED utilizing their verified building trades employment experience to fill this requirement as outlined through NYSED.

DUTIES:

The candidate should have the ability to teach the above stated skills to high school students. building trade skills needed include, but are not limited to, model making, Blueprint reading and interpretation, Building Design, Foundation Systems, Floor Systems, Wall Systems, Roof Systems, Doors & Windows, Special Construction Building Materials. They must also be able to draft appropriately within their content area.
 
APPOINTMENT:  

 Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
