NOTICE OF POSITION

POSITION:

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

 

EARLY WARNING INDICATOR (EWI) FACILITATOR
FOR BURGARD HIGH SCHOOL #301

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree and New York State certification in Secondary Education. Candidates must have three years of teaching experience in urban school district. Candidates must participate in Professional Learning Opportunities. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and demonstrate leadership and interpersonal communication skills with adults. Proficiency in the use of technology and knowledge of the Common Core Standards and assessments are also preferred.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Facilitate team meetings dedicated to identifying students exhibiting one or more EWI’s, identifying appropriate interventions, and revisiting these students at subsequent meetings.
  • Provide professional development and job-embedded supports for multi-disciplinary teacher teams responsible for implementing strategies, incentives, and interventions regarding student attendance, behavior and course performance.
  • Provide regular accessibility to EWI data (user-friendly form) and other outcome measures to teachers, collaborating partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute quarterly data collection surveys.
  • Assist with evaluation activities and data-analysis.
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or other appropriate administrator.

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews will be scheduled where appropriate
