QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Candidates must hold a valid New York State Teacher Certification in one of the following areas: Reading, Elementary Education, English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Special Education, Art, Music, Technology Education, Computer Science, TESOL, ESL, CTE, and Library Services and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a teacher.
 
DUTIES:
 

Under the direction of the Director of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Initiatives, the CLRI Learning Technology Grant Coordinator TOSA will:

  • Work collaboratively with CLRI curriculum committees and instructional programs to support successful implementation of the New York State Learning Technology Grant components
  • Work collaboratively with the Instructional Technology Department to facilitate the delivery of quality instruction, increase equitable access to high-quality learning experiences, and promote culturally and linguistically responsive learning environments through the use of educational technology
  • Design and implement standards-based curriculum that align with the development and infusion of culturally and linguistically responsive virtual field experiences in the classroom
  • Deliver high quality culturally and linguistically relevant instruction to both students and staff that focus on the creation and publication of student made multimedia content related to culturally and linguistically responsive field experiences
  • Collect, maintain, and publish appropriate Learning Technology Grant artifacts on CLRI department website
  • Create a digital repository of CLRI resources that can be incorporated into STEAM activities, Professional Development, and Course Content area curriculums. Complete and submit New York State Learning Technology Grant reports by the appropriate deadlines Participate in professional development to increase knowledge and skills required to fulfill responsibilities of related work
  • Carry out the responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent, her designee, the Director of CLRI, or the Associate Superintendent of CLRI and other duties as assigned
