DATES of SERVICE:
Dates for each program (for informational purposes). If staff is assigned to a single or specific program, dates of employment will match those reflected below.
ESY Program: Will travel between sites (84, OTC, Day Treatment, 79, 89, 93)
Set Up: July 2
Instruction: July 7th – August 15th
Daily Rate: 1/200th
Hours: 7:50- 3:05
(Special Education background preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be New York State or Buffalo certified in the tenure area for which they are applying to teach. Priority in the selection of ITCs will be given to current assigned Buffalo Public School ITCs in order of summer school seniority. Please upload a copy of your NYS certification(s). Ensure that your name is visible, as well as your certification area(s). We will accept a screenshot from your NYS Teach account or you can upload using the physical document. Summer school seniority is defined as previous years of BPS summer employment in a classroom setting. Only current and active BPS employees earn summer school seniority.
Candidates for Buffalo Public Schools Summer School ITC are applying to work for the summer session and will be assigned to support multiple summer programs on a rotating basis.
JOB SUMMARY:
Position requires the planning, organization, and implementation of the appropriate instructional program to address the learning needs of the students; to guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their potential in both curricular and extracurricular activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide professional development and support for District instructional technology including, but not limited to, Promethean interactive whiteboards, ActiVotes, Castle Learning, HMH ThinkCentral, World Book Online, eDoctrina and other instructional software specific to summer school activities.
- Assist teaching and learning staff with teacher-specific portions of the Infinite Campus student information system including, but not limited to, grade book and period-by-period attendance features.
- Support computer readiness & interactive whiteboard inventory and distribution of equipment as needed
- Provide maintenance and support for teacher and student log-in information for computers and software programs
- Support the use of relevant technology to support instruction.
- Monitor and supervise students while they update inventory and prepare computer equipment for future student use.

APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
