NOTICE OF POSITION

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the internal position of:

Division of Multilingual Education 1 Multilingual Support Administrator

EIGHT 1/200TH SATURDAYS:
Location: PS 045 The International School, 141 Hoyt Street, Buffalo, NY 14213
Time: 8:15 am -3:30 pm
Days: NOVEMBER 22, DECEMBER 6, DECEMBER 13, APRIL 18, APRIL 25, MAY 2, MAY 16, MAY 30

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a valid teaching certificate in Building Administration or District Administration and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured or probationary teacher. Administrators will approve lesson plans for students, and presentations for families utilizing approved district curriculum. Administrators are expected to supervise the academic setting and maintain a positive and affirming environment for all.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise instruction of students on basic English and reading skills using differentiated strategies and approaches appropriate for Multilingual Learners.
  • Provide supervision of the program on eight Saturdays
  • Approve lessons for students utilizing curriculum provided and approving supplementation when needed.
  • Outside planning time will take place prior to the program sessions.
  •  Approve presentations for parents and present these during the Saturday events.
  •  Administrators must work the program's duration.

APPOINTMENT:
Appointments will be made by the Division of Multilingual Education who will select the candidates that best meet the requirements of the recruitment bulletin.
