NOTICE OF POSITION

 
 
POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified Candidates for Grades 9 – 12 summer school Regents Exam proctoring and scoring for the following Subject areas: Math, English Language Arts, Sciences, and Social Studies.
 
REGENTS PROCTORING AND SCORING
 Full day (7.25 hours) and Hourly (3.5 hours)

Proctoring: August 18 and/or August 19
Scoring: August 20, 21, and/or August 24 or until exams are scored based upon certification

Exact dates and times needed will be determined according to district needs, along with certifications

Candidates must complete an application form available on the District website, www.buffaloschools.org/jobs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proctoring:
Candidates must hold a New York State Teaching certification in order to be considered for a proctoring position.
Assignments will be given to qualified permanent/ tenured/probationary/temporary Buffalo Public School teachers in order of summer school seniority.

Scoring:
Candidates must be New York State or Buffalo certified in the tenure area for which they are applying to score.
Priority in the selection of teachers will be given to qualified permanent/ tenured/probationary/temporary Buffalo Public School teachers in order of summer school seniority.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Please review the dates carefully. FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE STUDENTS AND CONTINUITY OF THE PROGRAM, TEACHERS ARE EXPECTED TO SERVE THE FULL TERM OF THE PROGRAM.  By applying and accepting this position, you are agreeing to work the FULL duration of the program. 



APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials, and evaluation of service, including summer school seniority.
 

SALARY:         Teacher daily rate (1/200th) rate or Hourly based on BTF contract.
