POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr.Tonja M. Williams, is interested in receiving applications for qualified candidates for the position of:
SST SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST-HOURLY
SUMMER 2023

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be New York State certified in Social Work. A minimum of two (2) years of social work experience as part of a CSE committee is preferable. Candidates should have experience in providing clinical support and in demonstrating ability in a wide range of therapeutic modalities. Summer school seniority is defined as previous years of BPS summer employment in a classroom setting. Only current and active BPS employees earn summer school seniority.
Candidates for Buffalo Public Schools Summer School are eligible to work for only one of the programs.

DUTIES:
- The Psychologist will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Serve as a mandated member of the Committee on Special Education.
- Conduct mandated Psychological/Educational evaluations per State and Federal Regulations.
- Prepare written reports and assist in the development of Individual Education Plans for students with disabilities including computer input into IEP software.
- Work with teachers and staff to develop appropriate Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Perform any assigned duties deemed necessary and appropriate.

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
