NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Will Keresztes, Ed.D., is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree and NYS certification in English Language Arts 7-12; preferred candidates would have experience/completed coursework in computer science and/or willing to advance their professional learning in computer science with university partners. It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screenshot of their certifications. Candidates must have completed three years of approved and appropriate teaching and/or coaching experience. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and demonstrate leadership and interpersonal communication skills with adults.
Proficiency in the use of technology and knowledge of the New York State core curriculum will also be considered in evaluating each candidate’s qualifications. Candidates must have knowledge of best instructional and quality assessment practices. Candidates must be able to articulate and demonstrate strong skills in developing partnerships, curriculum, and accessing community resources. Candidates must be self-driven and goal oriented.
DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Building principal, the responsibilities of the Interdisciplinary Bridge Coordinator will include but are not limited to the following:
- Work as a liaison between RLHS and University at Buffalo to expand and enhance current partnerships.
- Work with staff at RLHS and University at Buffalo to write curriculum/coursework/lesson plans.
- Assist in integrating and enhancing connections to NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards across multiple disciplines at RLHS.
- Continue professional learning and development in computer literacy and/or AP coursework.
- Develop an integrated cross curricular computer science and digital fluency program at Research Lab High School.
- Coordinate community relationships, partnerships, field trips, guest speakers, and other necessary enrichment activities.
- Will have teaching responsibilities aligned to ELA and specialized programs at RLHS.
- Assist in Research I & Research II Courses.
- Develop extension activities for use during extended learning time.
- Work collaboratively with administration and staff in developing and implementing professional development.
- Provide data to assist teachers in planning – assisting in grade level and departmental meetings.
- Be able to articulate and demonstrate familiarity of District goals and initiatives.
- Assist in setting up systems for communication and cooperation of the entire professional staff in implementing district programs.
- Maintains inventory of program materials and orders approved materials for school use.
- Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by RLHS principal or arise due to the nature of the position.

Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interview shall be scheduled where appropriate.
