POSITION:
The Superintendent, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

MASTER SCHEDULER
LOCATION: Assigned Summer Scheduling Site
DATES:
- Middle School: July 6-8 (Up to 3 Full days)
- Time: 8:00-3:15
- High School: July 6-July 9 (Up to 4 Full days)
- Time: 8:00-3:15

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be current BPS employees and New York State or Buffalo certified in Grades PreK-12 in any content area.
Candidates must have:

Completed the BPS Master Scheduling Training courses (verified through PGS)
Candidates are preferred to have:
- BPS Scheduling experience at the middle and/or high school level.
- Ability to schedule courses in Infinite Campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be New York State or Buffalo certified in Grades PreK-12 in any content area. Priority in the selection will be given to candidates that have scheduling experience and must have attended the BPS Master Scheduling training. Candidate must also be proficient with Infinite Campus and should have experience with 7-12 scheduling.
JOB SUMMARY:
The position requires collaborating with administrators to plan and create master schedules that best suit the needs of the students in the building.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Schedule students and assign teachers.
- Build balanced class sizes, making sure class size capacity is not exceeded.
- Build rosters so classes include a balance ratio of students with special needs, and English learners.
- Include Encore subjects and Enrichment blocks daily.
- Complete the master schedule
- Required in-person training on July 6.

Candidates for Buffalo Public Schools Summer School are eligible to work for ONLY ONE of the summer programs.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
