NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
Extended Learning Time - After School Literacy Program at School #61
Title 1 Funds
Grade 1 – 4 Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a valid General Education and/or Special Education New York certificate in grades 1 – 4 core and be currently
employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a tenured, probationary or temporary teacher. Candidates must be willing to work 4 days
a week, Monday – Thursday from 3:30 – 5:30.
Teachers will provide CCLS aligned instruction in ELA and Math, and will be expected to provide support and positive interaction with students,
administer pre and post assessments, maintain attendance, and as needed, communicate and provide information to parents on the progress of their child.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachers will work under the supervision of the Building Administration:
- Instructing students on grade level coursework using differentiated strategies and approaches effective in working with students in need of academic supports.
- Provide instruction to students in Grades 1 – 4 according to CCLS.
- Assist students with homework given during the school day.
- Outside planning time may be necessary.
- Teachers will be required to work a minimum of 2.0 hours a day, 4 (Monday – Thursday).
- Attend mandatory program training after school.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the building principals who will select the candidates that best match the recruitment bulletin and the after-school program description.
SALARY: Per hourly contractual teacher salary schedule.
