                                                    NOTICE OF POSITION

 
POSITION:               
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Donald A. Ogilvie is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates
for the position of:
 
             SUPERVISOR OF TITLE I   (2 POSITIONS)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, and New York State Administrator Certificate (SDA/SDL/SAS/SBL). 
Candidates must have completed four years of approved and appropriate teaching. Candidates must possess and have
demonstrated, strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
                                     
EXPERIENCE:         
Candidates should have experience in budget preparation and must be knowledgeable in Federal and State NCLB guidelines
and reporting requirements.  Knowledge of Title I law, school based budgeting, Title I Program development, implementation
and evaluation are helpful.
 
DUTIES:                    

Under the supervision of the Director of Title I Programs, the duties of the Supervisor of Title I will include, but will not be limited to:
 
  • Assist in the coordination of all aspects of the Title I planning, implementation and evaluation processes.
  • Monitor the evaluation of the Title I programming, and plan and initiate program improvement strategies when necessary.
  • Administer and monitor all aspects of the Title I Basic and Title I School Improvement Grant Program, in collaboration with appropriate Central Office administrators and principals, to ensure coordinated efforts in supporting schools and providing an effective supplemental instructional program.
  • Prepare and submit all Federal and State reports relating to Title I.
  • Develop and oversee all Non-Public Title I school programs and budgets.
  • Develop and oversee all Neglected & Delinquent Title I programs and budgets.
  • Collaborate in the development and monitoring of the Expanded Learning Time programs & budgets.
  • Maintain current knowledge on laws and requirements regarding Title I and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist in the development, completion and implementation of the District’s Consolidated Application.
  • Other duties as assigned.


APPOINTMENT:      
Appointment shall be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment
of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be conducted where appropriate.
 
SALARY:                     Supervisor’s salary schedule.
