POSITION: The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree, a permanent New York State teaching certificate in Special Education and a New York State School District Administrator (SDA) or New York State District Leader (SDL) certificate by the time of appointment. It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of approved teaching and/or administrative experience. Candidates with secondary experience preferred.
DUTIES: The Supervisor of Special Education will report to the Director of Special Education and will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Lead and monitor the implementation of progress monitoring
- Provide supports to teachers on instructional interventions
- Provide supports to special education teachers focusing on best practices for instruction and behavior
- Participate as a member of the administrative team as it relates to staff and professional development
- Provide ongoing support in assigned buildings
- Develop and provide professional development to teachers and paraprofessionals
- Assist with design, adapting and implementation of department procedures to improve service to students with disabilities
- Assist district personnel regarding programmatic issues related to Special Education
- Conduct formal observations in alignment with the APPR process
- Attend required district and department meetings
- Other duties as assigned
