POSITION:            The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Amber M. Dixon is
interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for teaching positions
at the following Schools: 
 
             #84 Erie County Health Care Center for Children
 
HOURS:          8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
                       11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Classes to be held:   July 2 – August 10, 2012   No session July 4, 2012.
 
 
In the tenure areas of:   
                                            SPECIAL EDUCATION                      REMEDIAL SPEECH                       
                                            HOME/CAREERS                              ART                                        
                                            COUNSELORS/GUIDANCE              SOCIAL WORKER
                                            PHYSICAL EDUCATION                   READING COACH   
                                            TEACHERS OF THE HEARING IMPAIRED/DEAF 
                                            TEACHERS OF THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED SCHOOL
                       
 
APPLICATION:        Candidates must complete an application form available on the
District website, at www.buffaloschools.org.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must be New York State or Buffalo certified in the tenure
area for which they are applying to teach.  Candidates must have application level
knowledge of New York State Alternate Assessment Indicators and Alternate Grade
Level Indicators.
 
EXPERIENCE:          Priority in the selection of teachers will be given to qualified
permanent/tenured/probationary/temporary Buffalo Public School teachers who
have experience working with Multiply Disabled and Medically Fragile students.
 
DUTIES:                     Candidates are to address all needs of Students with
Disabilities and Medically Fragile Students.  Paid Teacher Orientation and
Preparation Day is June 29, 2012.  (3.5 hour session).  Successful candidates
are encouraged to attend.
                                               
APPOINTMENT:       Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the
recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment of training,
credentials and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews shall be scheduled
where appropriate.
 
SALARY:                   Teacher hourly rate based on BTF contract.
