POSITION:     
The Principal of Dr. A. Pantoja # 18 is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
 
 
                                    Teacher: - Extended Learning Time
      After School Program at School #18 various grades levels/subjects

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must hold a valid General Education and/or Special Education New York certificate in grades K-12 core.
• Candidate should be able to plan differentiated instruction for students needing remediation in ELA and/or Math.
• Candidate should be able to implement CCLS and instructional shifts in appropriate subject areas.
• Candidate should be able to provide meaningful instruction including enrichment activities to improve overall academic achievement for our students.
• Candidates should be able to work at least 2 of 4 days per week for 2 hours per day after school (3:45 – 5:45 pm

      
RESPONSIBILITIES:           


Teachers will work under the supervision of the Building Administration:

• Instructing students on grade level coursework using differentiated strategies and approaches effective in working with students.
• Provide instruction to students’ in ELA and Math according to CCLS.
• Prepare lessons for students using curriculum provided by school administrator.
• Outside planning time will be necessary.
• Administer pre and post assessments, maintain attendance, and as needed, communicate and provide information to parents on the progress of their child.
• Complete and comply with all NYS Office of Children & Family Services paperwork and regulations.
• Attend mandatory program training after school.

 
APPOINTMENT:      
Appointment will be made by the building principals who will select the candidates that best match the recruitment bulletin and the
after-school program description.
