QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, and a New York State Administrator Certificate (SDA/SDL/SAS/SBL). Candidates must have completed four years of approved and appropriate teaching. Candidates must possess and have demonstrated, strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, both written and oral. Experience in grant writing and budget preparation is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of the Supervisor of School Improvement will include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage grants that support school improvement initiatives;
- Work in partnership with the Grants Department and school administrators in development of budgets and budget narratives for proposals and special projects;
- Schedule and facilitate monthly budget review meetings with school administrators to ensure timely spending aligned to approved grant;
- Facilitate and oversee development and execution of contracts;
- Facilitate and oversee development and submission of state and/or local amendments;
- Provide technical assistance to school administrators;
- Support school administrators in development of required reports associated with grants;
- Provide differentiated, ongoing support and training to school administrators;
- Collect and monitor logs of non-classroom positions funded through grants;
- Prepare for audits as necessary;
- Supervise the collection of data and prepare reports at the conclusion of the grants.
- Other duties as assigned.
