NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION: The Superintendent of Schools, Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree, a permanent New York State teaching certificate in Special Education and a New York State School District Administrator (SDA) or New York State District Leader (SDL) certificate by the time of appointment. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of approved teaching and/or administrative experience. Candidates with secondary experience preferred.
DUTIES: The Supervisor of Special Education will report to the Director of Special Education and will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Complete audits of CSE paperwork
- Monitor CSE and CPSE actions to ensure compliance with State regulations
- Oversee bilingual assignments to ensure compliance with State regulations
- Conduct evaluations (APPRs)
- Work collaboratively with other departments, agencies and community members to ensure that all mandates are followed
- Assist in the coordination and administration of all areas of Special Education for the successful operation of the department
- Assist with design, adapting and implementation of department procedures to ensure compliance; Improve services to students with disabilities
- Assist district personnel regarding CSE issues
- Attend required meetings
- Assist in the planning and implementation of professional development
- Other duties as assigned
