POSITION:                The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Amber M. Dixon is
interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for teaching positions
at the following Schools: 
 
#30, #42, #79, #89, #95, #99 and WNY DAY TREATMENT CENTER
 
Specific site hours will be determined.

 Classes to be held:   July 2 – August 10, 2012   No session JULY 4, 2012
 
Hours:
8:00a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

SPECIAL EDUCATION        REMEDIAL SPEECH          HOME/CAREERS      
TEACHERS OF THE HEARING IMPAIRED/DEAF          MUSIC THERAPIST

PHYSICAL EDUCATION    SOCIAL WORKERS             READING COACH  
SCHOOL COUNSELOR/GUIDANCE                              MATH COACH
TEACHERS OF THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED                  
ATTENDANCE TEACHERS           
 
 
APPLICATION:        Candidates must complete an application form available on the
District website, at www.buffaloschools.org.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:Candidates must be New York State or Buffalo certified in the
tenure area for which they are applying to teach.
 
EXPERIENCE:          Priority in the selection of teachers will be given to qualified

permanent/tenured/probationary/temporary Buffalo Public School teachers in order
of summer school seniority.
 
DUTIES:                     Paid Teacher Orientation and Preparation Day is June 29, 2012
(3.5 hour session).  Successful candidates are encouraged to attend.
                                               
APPOINTMENT:       Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the
recommendation of the Interim Superintendent following assessment of summer
school seniority, training, credentials and evaluation of service.  Personal interviews
shall be scheduledwhere appropriate.
 
SALARY:                   Teacher hourly rate based on BTF contract.
