NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:
SUPERVISOR/PROJECT MANAGER OF
CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a permanent/professional New York State teaching certificate and have or be in the process of completing applications for a valid New York State School District Administrator (SDA), School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS), School District Leader (SDL), or School Building Leader (SBL) certificate. Special consideration will be given to candidates who hold NYS Work-based Career Awareness Extension.
EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must have completed three years of approved and appropriate teaching and/or administrative experience, preferably in a high school setting.
DUTIES:
Under the guidance of the Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE), the Supervisor/Project Manager:
- Provide leadership for curriculum and instructional program planning, development and implementation of all aspects of Career and Technical Education identified Energy Pathways including associated careers and NYSED certification process.
- Oversee any and all teachers implementing CTE programs identified in the Pathways to Technology 3(P-Tech3) BESOLAR Pathway at South Park High School.
- Assist in preparation of grant budget management of data collection at all levels of implementation of P-Tech 3 –BESOLAR grant.
- Collaborate with South Park High School administrators as needed.
- Lead delivery of in-service training for CTE teachers.
- Supervision related to New York State/Industry assessments.
- Must have experience in finding and supporting internships, acting as a liaison between a school/nonprofit and business, supporting career/employment skills such as interviews, job readiness, and transitioning into postsecondary environments.
- Collaborate with post-secondary institutions on with crosswalk curriculum, advance credit, articulated credit and site visits as identified in P-tech 3 grant and identified energy/solar programs.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointment will be made by the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
SALARY: Supervisor salary schedule.
