POSITION: The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

CENTRAL COMMITTEE ON SPECIAL EDUCATION SPEECH EVALUATOR - BILINGUAL - HOURLY

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Candidates must hold a New York State certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled (bilingual extension or certification preferred but not required). It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications. New York State Licensure and Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence is preferred. Experience completing speech-language evaluations preferred. must have knowledge of ASHA Scope and Practice of Speech-Language Pathology, Medicaid Regulations, and Federal and State Regulations pertaining to Speech-Language Pathology. Candidates must have application knowledge of various Speech-Language assessment tools. Candidates must also possess strong interpersonal communication skills. Bilingual candidates preferred.

DATES: JULY/AUGUST 2021 Number of Days to be TBD


DUTIES: 

The duties include, but will not be limited to:

• Performing observations and consultations
• Administering Speech-Language evaluations
• Completing IEP Direct input
• Writing reports required by the Committee on Special Education (CSE)
• Assisting the CSE in the appropriate development and implementation of Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Inputting Medicaid billing into Kinney
• May be required to attend CSE meetings and consult with other professional disciplines, vendors, parents, and school personnel
• Completing other duties deemed necessary and appropriate
