NOTICE OF POSITIONS



POSITION:
The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the following teaching positions:

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
CENTRAL COMMITTEE ON SPECIAL EDUCATION

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be New York State certified in Social Work. It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications. Preference is given to those candidates that hold a Licensed Clinical Social Work Certification (LCSW). A minimum of two (2) years of social work experience in the Buffalo Public Schools is required. Candidates should have experience in providing clinical support and in demonstrating ability in a wide range of therapeutic modalities

DUTIES:
  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to staff in Clinical Services to enable staff to become licensed clinical social workers.  
  • Establishing an environment to enhance individual growth 
  • Processing and facilitating on-going services for students with disabilities and their families
  • Acting as a key member of an interdisciplinary team consisting of instructional personnel, psychologist, counselors, and other team members as required 
  • Provide social work support to schools 
  • Provide social work support to the Committee on Special Education
  • Perform any assigned duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.
